dr. arya bagherpour

Dr. Bagherpour has had a robust career treating patients with minimally invasive therapeutic interventions. He is dual-board certified in Vascular and Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology.

He received his medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center. He then completed a surgical internship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel and a diagnostic radiology residency at Texas Tech University where he served as chief resident. He subsequently completed a Vascular and Interventional Radiology Fellowship at the University of Florida.

Dr. Bagherpour has had a dedicated career in academics, previously serving as the Residency Program Director in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) prior to his transition to private practice. He has a passion for teaching and quality improvement, with a commitment to life-long learning, having authored and published multiple peer-reviewed journals and book chapters.

He has received numerous patient care and teaching awards in academics. During his successful academic career at UTMB, he was crucial in developing multiple service lines and a robust vascular practice treating peripheral arterial disease, symptomatic uterine fibroids, and venous disorders. He was also integral in the creation of a pulmonary embolism response team, stroke service, and Y-90 radioembolization program to treat liver cancer.

Dr. Bagherpour enjoys getting to know his patients and listening to their concerns by spending time with them and building trust. He is committed to providing expert clinical care and using modern technology and techniques to achieve best outcomes. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, spending time with his family and friends, skiing, and playing the piano, having formerly studied at University of Texas.
